Langston Hughes once described James Baldwin as “a straight-from-the-shoulder writer, writing about the troubled problems of this troubled earth with an illuminating intensity.”  This service, James Baldwin: A Vulnerable and Venerable Heart, will illumine Baldwin’s voice so it might speak to our troubled times.
