Rev Steve Edington will draw on two stories for this sermon. One is of a toddler who became trapped in an abandoned well shaft in the back yard of a Midland, Texas home; and the efforts to successfully rescue her that gained world-wide publicity. The other is the traditional story of the birth of Jesus. A common theme in each story is how they call us to our better, and more elevated selves. How do we answer that call in this 2025 Holiday Season, and what might be the true meaning of “Keeping Christ in Christmas?”
