The summer service on July 27th will be based on the short story, “D Day”, by Rachel Khong. Here is an excerpt: “And on the 2,256,750,000th day, God reconsidered what he had made and decided the world would be better off if human beings were other animals entirely.” Hearing this amusing tale on NPR, where everyone on earth has been given 30 days by Creator to choose which animal they want to become, made me think it would be amusing for each of us to think which animal we’d choose to be, under the same circumstances. Diane will read part of the story first, and attendees will take it from there!
